The TADA court on Monday held an aide of Abu Salem guilty of carrying weapons from Sanjay Dutt's residence to the house of co-accused but acquitted another due to lack of evidence.
Salem has been taken to the high security Arthur road jail following his arrival from Delhi.
The matter was pending and would be heard on August 8. Besides, Salem was also required in Ajit Dewani and Pradeep Jain murder cases which are pending in other courts.
Dutt's laywer V R Manohar said the TADA court would be requested to appoint a probation officer and go through his report before deciding on Dutt's plea for relief under the law.
Earlier in the day, the actor had to face protests by the families of the other accused in the case as he arrived at the court on Tuesday morning.
However, the CBI, objected saying the Commission report cannot be used by the convicts for defence.
Another accused was acquitted due to lack of evidence.
The Special TADA Court on Friday remanded Karimullah Osan Habib Khan, a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, to Central Bureau of Investigation's custody till August 29.Khan, who has been on the run for the last 15 years, was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Thursday. Earlier, CBI had arrested Salem soon after his extradition on November 11 in the 1993 bomb blast case.
The home ministry has recommended to the President that the mercy petition of Yakub Abdul Razak Memon, a convict in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, be rejected.
While the court found Dutt guilty under the Arms Act, it acquitted the actor of the criminal conspiracy charges under TADA.
Salem, who was extradited from Portugal in 2005, is accused of delivering an AK-56 rifle at the residence of Sanjay Dutt and various other weapons to co-accused. Siddiqui and Ansari, too, are accused of delivering weapons at different places. CBI had recorded Salem's statement, in which he had confessed to the crime. Also, Sanjay Dutt and other convicts had named him and his associates for the role that they had played in the blasts.
The summons were issued by designated Judge P D Kode, who had asked Sanjay and 25 other accused to appear before him for giving their attendance.
Yakub also denied that the premises at Al-Husseini building, which were used to store explosives, belonged to him. He claimed he did not own any apartment in the building.
Twenty-one of the accused have been acquitted or given benefit of doubt while the court is yet to pronounce its\nverdict on 27 accused, including filmstar Sanjay Dutt.
Actor Sanjay Dutt, who was convicted to six years rigorous imprisonment in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case, arrived at the Special TADA court in Mumbai on Monday morning. Wednesday's sentencing takes the total number of convicts sentenced in the case to 71 while 29 more are yet to be awarded punishment.

Dutt was convicted under the Arms Act for the illegal possession of an assault rifle and a pistol but acquitted under the anti-terror law TADA.
The court also allowed Salem's plea for home food and bedding on condition that the food may be provided only by his brother Abdul Lais after undergoing security drill and verification process.
